Saptarshi Mandal, PhD

I have bachelor’s degrees in Chemistry and Chemical Technology and a master’s degree in Pharmaceutical and Fine chemical technology. I did my Ph.D. from IIT Patna. My research goal is integrating science and technology for theranostics. My hobby is finding the chemical components of daily materials, spiritualism, and listening to Indian music.

Harshini Sureshkumar, MS

I have a Bachelors and Master degree in Biotechnology and my research interest is on Therapeutic and Translational research focusing on Biomaterial systems and Immunomodulatory strategies. I have always believed that the facets of Biotechnology are gateways to contribute to society. My hobbies include travelling, DIY art work, movies and reading.

Matthew Patrick, BS

I have a BS in Biology and minor in Physics from the University of Kentucky. I’m interested in biomaterial and medical research. I volunteered as a K-crew member and was a part of the UK Ecology club. I like playing music, watching movies, and being active.

Cam McHargue, BS

Cam has as a BS in Biology from University of Kentucky. He is working on developing in-vitro culture models for investigating bone-muscle crosstalk in diabetic environment.

Sushant Prajapati, BS

Sushant has as a Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology from NIT, India. He is working on egineering biomaterials and drug delivery vehicles for immunomodulation.

Heather Thompson, BS

Heather has a Bachelor of Technology in Biosystems Engineering from the University of Kentucky. She is working on engineering biomaterials with stress relaxation for immunomodulation.

Austin Sovar

I am a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in chemical engineering and minoring in biomedical engineering. I am very interested in attending a graduate program to earn a specialized engineering degree. At the University of Kentucky, I play on the club soccer team.

María Isabel Franco

María is a visiting scholar from EIA University, colombia. She is a senior in the Biomedical Engineering Program and interested in studying macrophage response in bone fractions under various strain conditions. She is a basketball fanatic.

Kate Reardon

Kate is a sophomore at the University of Kentucky majoring in biomedical engineering and interested in muscle biology and tissue engineering.

Lauren Baur

Lauren is a Senior at the University of Kentucky majoring in biology and interested in the use of nanoparticles for drug delivery.
